At PREVALENT SCM, we believe that meticulous planning delivers efficient results. Our site surveys of warehouses and its assessment are detailed & follow a strict procedure.

Step 1: Observational Walkthrough

Scanning the facilities and observing procedures as is, is one of the first steps in assessment. It helps us take a bird’s eye view of the processes such as flow, work pace, placement of elements etc. A casual interaction with workers and process leaders might be involved here, to get soft inputs.

Step 2: Data Accumulation

Here, we take stock of data already available to us in the form of reports and gauge the need for extra data that will enable us to carry out our work. We also establish baseline measures here, define the data accumulation methods and allocate work to respective PREVALENT SCM teams.

Step 3: Staff Interviews

Further to the casual interactions in the assessment phase, here, we carry out carefully structured interviews with staff handling or using the processes that PREVALENT SCM will overhaul. We follow a complete top down approach and give equal weightage to the managerial staff and the workers who use the machinery.

Step 4: Report Analysis

This stage involves detailed analysis of the data collected to arrive at actionable insights. Many a times, this stage helps us identify unexpected bottlenecks and scopes for process improvement. The data is shared with all stakeholders, discussed and actions steps arrived at.

Step 5: External Benchmarking

Here, we compare our findings with benchmarks in the industry- from past PREVALENT SCM case studies and current leaders in the industry. The attempt here is not just to improve upon what we are but also ensure that it surpasses competition, so that our customers have a competitive advantage.
